A HANDSOME INITIATION MASK FROM ANGOLA ( No 4510)

This is a handsome initiation mask from Angola.  Has a fine naturalistic carving style, defining a majestic facial expression.  The face has a russet red dye, which ends where the costume would have covered.  A medium patina.  In good condition, with wear. No stand included.  Height approx 25cm
