A OLD LEATHER COSTUME WITH MAGICAL DIAGRAMS + SCRIPT, HAUSA TRIBE OF NIGERIA ( No 1824)

This a hide tunic from the Hausa people of Nigeria.  Has paintings and script on both sides that convey talismanic protection.  Made of sacred goat hide.  Has a well developed patina and is in good condition. A rare example, with minor distress only. We guarantee that this item has been tribally used. Height 75cm approx.
