This is an expressive Nyamwesi tribe mask
from Tanzania. Nyamwesi means people of
the moon. Has an evocative face, with
grooved expression lines. Conveying a sense
of pathos. The patina is well developed, with
remnants of red pigment, a sheened surface.
In good collectable condition. We guarantee
this item has been tribally used with wear
